GOLDEN GREY MULLET

Liza (liza)aurata

Its body is oval-shaped, except for the head and tail. It has a large yellow spot behind the eyes, golden reflections on the head and sides, and the rest of the body is brown.

It lives in coastal waters on muddy and sandy bottoms up to 10 m. It feeds on any type of food.

Its length is between 30 and 40 cm, and it can reach depths of up to 50 cm, and at most 2 or 3 kg of weight.

It is captured with different gear: Trammel and fixed gillnets.
